The best thing to happen to me in a long time.
Most, if not all of you who read this blog, know that I am oddly allergic to sesame and sesame products (including oil), despite being, well, Asian. Recently, Ilya brought home this product from my new favorite grocery store, Trader Joe's.
Since then, I have been eating hummus non-stop. Yesterday, I bought pita bread and experienced that snack that people used to wave in my face, laughing cruelly, "hummus and pita! Ha ha! You can't have this!"
Now I can. And I know what I was missing. What a delicious and delightful spread!
This conversation happened today, as Ilya and I were walking down Michigan Avenue from the Field Museum, where we spent Valentine's Day:
Me: "Look! Crows!"
Him: "Beautiful!...Do you know what a bunch of crows is called?"
Me: "Um, a crow gang?"
Him: "Close. Do you know what a bunch of fish is called?"
Me: "A school."
Him: "...And a bunch of geese?"
Me: "A gaggle!"
Him: "So what about a bunch of crows?"
Me: "I don't know! What..?"
Him: "Murder."
Me: "Murder what?"
Him: "A murder of crows."
Me: "Seriously?"
Him: "Seriously."
Me: "Do crows eat people?"
Him: "Yes. They eat people."
